If you are interested in having flyfishing lessons, there may well be a lot of questions you would like to ask before booking a lesson. Below are some of the most Frequently asked questions, if you have any further questions you would like to ask dont hesitate to contact us.


Q - What sort of Rod / Reel & Line should I buy?

A – An easy question to answer if I know where you will be fishing? There are many variables here, so please just phone me and we can explore the possibilities of just what you will need.

Q – For the lesson, will I need to bring any tackle with me?

A – If you already have a Rod / Reel & Line bring it with you, however I have everything you will need and more freely available for you to try.

Q – What flies do I need to use?

A – Again an easy question providing I know where you are going to be fishing and what time of year. During your lesson I can show you and advise on what works best and how it should be fished for maximum effect.

Q – Do you run any group 2-3 day courses?

A – Throughout the year there are many courses being run for anyone wanting to learn more about Salmon and Trout fishing. Each course is set up for both beginners and the more experienced and are fully structured to offer a fantastic opportunity to fish and have tuition and a great holiday break over a number of days.

Many are residential and are all run by the qualified instructors within the Hardy & Greys Academy of Instructors. These Courses include Fly fishing for Trout, Sea Trout, Salmon, and Pike plus Saltwater.
