Salmon Casting Tuition Trout Casting Tuition What Tackle?

Begginers Trout Tuition

For many, just taking one or two hour long lessons is enough to give just what is needed to get going with fly fishing. However for those wanting a more in depth knowledge I recommend a half day or better still a full day session which includes a number of hours fully accompanied fishing, with every effort being made to get you connected with your first fish!

Tuition will be designed specifically for you, however a typical part or full day program will include:

• Selecting and setting up a balanced outfit (Fly rod, reel, line, leaders, flies to use and knots)
• Roll cast and its uses
• Overhead cast
• Casting according to wind and weather conditions
• Natural fly life and selection of imitation
• Watercraft – Where to find the fish
• How to handle the fish

Improvers and Speciality Casting Tuition

Having fished for a season or two there then becomes a real quest to achieve more from your fishing - Extra distance!, Casting into the wind!, Single Haul!, Double Haul!, Snake roll!, and the Spey cast! for salmon casting. Here again for many just a short lesson will learn the new skills and can transform your casting ability giving more confidence and more pleasurable and successful fishing.
Tuition will be designed specifically for you, however taking a lesson for these specific improver skills can be most beneficial if taken together with the person you regularly fish with? This way you both learn and can then continue to help each other in the following months.

Improver sessions will include advanced advice on tackle selection and an opportunity to try specific set ups to enhance the line and fly presentation.
